With a backdrop of mountains and views that extend for miles over the Madonie National Park, this mountain location is in a truly idyllic location. The property would make a large family home or, indeed, excellent premises from which to conduct a bed and breakfast business, as there is ample scope to turn the lower floor into six bedrooms with on-suite.
Price: 355.000 euros.

This large mountain located in approximately acres of land, has lovely mountain and sea views.
Set in a traditional Sicilian setting, surrounded by olive, lemon and orange trees, this large property is constructed to an exceptional high standard and is in excellent decorative order. Located on two floor (each 170 square meters) the first floor is completely fitted throughout and is immediate habitable. There is an enormous, bright and sunny kitchen and living area which opens up onto a terrace which circles the complete circumference of the house. In addition, on this floor, there are four good sized double bedrooms and two bedrooms.
The lower floor is currently only used for storage. However, it is equal in size to the main living area and would easily convert to six bedrooms with on-suite – ideal for bed and breakfast.
The site benefits from having its own, reliable, independent water supplier, thereby providing the option to install a swimming pool and there is amble land at the front of the property to create a wonderful recreational area. The property is reached by good quality mountain roads, except for the last hundred yards, or so, which are in need to resurfacing. Located just on the outskirts of the Madoinie National Park, the site is approximately a 15 minute from the international holiday town of Cefalu and Palermo airport is about an hour and a half away.
Madonie Park and Cefalu
Established in 1989, the Madonie Park plays host to a wide variety of indigenous birds and animals including some 70 species of brightly coloured butterflies. Extending over some 98,000 acres, the park is densely wooded and provides endless scope for walkers, hikers and campers. The neighbouring town of Cefalu started life as a simple fishing village perched between the sea and a steep, craggy limestone promontory. Thanks to a long sandy beach and a coastline considered to be one of the most beautiful on the island, Cefalu is now a thriving holiday destination. However the town has retained its medieval appearance and its glorious Romanesque cathedral still towers over the network of narrow streets lined with buildings featuring elaborate architectural decoration. The fishermen’s quarter, with its old houses clustered along the seafront, is a reminder of days gone by and is still in operation to this day.
