San Nicola has a lovely small-boat marina, which is good to know for someone looking for an opportunity to keep a boat within walking distance. San Nicola also has a train station, with frequent trains to Palermo. There are several restaurants in the area, particularly along the seaside. The nearest bigger town with a hospital, etc., is Termini Imerese, around 7 kilometers away.
