This cozy stone farmhouse is located in Contrada Buttino, 5 km from the city of Ragusa, near the “Grotta delle Trabacche,” a site of archaeological interest and recently the set of an episode of the TV series “Il Commissario Montalbano”, based on the famous literary work by Sicilian writer Andrea Camilleri.

The house underwent a major renovation between 2022 and 2023, which makes it highly energy-efficient today. Two 10,000-liter cisterns supply water to the farmhouse, while a 5,000-liter rainwater collection tank irrigates the grounds. An ancient and characteristic water collection system made of typical Ragusa stone is also present.

The land of about 1,000 square meters already houses several fruit trees, including two almond trees, a fig, a lemon, an orange, and a rosemary. In addition to ample parking space, there is also the possibility of building a swimming pool and obtaining a water well. The whole property is surrounded and bounded finally by the typical Ragusa “dry stone wall.”
